Are you a research and development engineer with experience in driving and executing technical projects? Do you have a background as a chemical engineer, materials engineer, or documented corrosion expertise? Do you find it motivating to work in a dynamic group with both short-term tasks and longer development projects? Are you flexible, attentive, and curious? Then RISE has an exciting opportunity for you!

About the role

You will be responsible for all phases of routine technical projects and customer assignments, ensuring successful completion of all phases within appropriate time and cost. You will be equally involved in customer contacts and the practical execution of customer orders. You prepare, ensure, and review cost estimates, establish formal project requests, investigate problems and requirements in projects, and develop plans for solutions in accordance with economic, resource, and environmental goals. You will also execute practical customer assignments, write and deliver accredited reports and results to the customer.

Based in Borås, we are now looking for an engineer for the corrosion department, which is an accredited operation. The work will primarily involve projects for evaluating the durability of metallic materials, through accelerated testing of corrosive gases, salt mist testing, chemical testing, and liquid corrosion. This includes both longer development projects and shorter assignments.

Who are you?

We are looking for a curious and meticulous research and development engineer with a university degree. Experience in corrosion issues, particularly metallic corrosion, is advantageous.

You can drive various research and development projects, both larger and smaller. The work involves close contacts and collaboration with customers and colleagues, which requires a curious and positive attitude and attentiveness. You will work on many parts in parallel, often with tight deadlines, and need to be well-organized, structured, self-driven, and flexible. You are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Are we the right fit for each other?

At RISE, there are many engaged and enthusiastic colleagues and many exciting challenges to tackle. You will work in a dynamic environment that offers you development opportunities both professionally and personally. At RISE, we want you to succeed and feel good, as this contributes to a sustainable future and secures a competitive edge for Swedish industry and research in the global arena.
